Avenue 52 is an American pop rock band from Los Angeles, California that formed in 2009. The band is best known for their single "Simple Girl," which was used as part of the "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" promotional campaign for Season 3. Their music video for their song "Homeless" was featured on the front page of VEVO.com.

Avenue 52 originally started out as Sean Alexander and Michaelangelo as a studio side project. The both of them later decided to add other members Tyler Aguirre and Beau Evans to the band. Avenue 52 first released their single "Simple Girl." The song was used as part of the "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" promotional campaign for Season 3. Then the band released their self-titled EP.
Avenue 52 recorded a new song "Homeless" which was released on November 23, 2010. The music video was released on iTunes on December 4, 2010. [1] Avenue 52 released their music video to increase awareness amongst the local L.A. community. A portion of the proceeds from Homeless will be donated to homeless organizations throughout the Los Angeles area. [2] The music video was also featured on the front page of VEVO.com.
On September 13, 2011, "Homeless" was nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award for their music video. [3]
Avenue 52 is currently working on new material to be released in the near future.[4]
